With the school holidays looming once again, you might be looking for some days out with the kids. We visited The Royal Armouries in Leeds a few weekends ago and it was a brilliantly educational place. Perfect for a day out with the kids. They might even learn something along the way!
This will be the third set of Isle of Man photos I’ve put into a blog post. The island is beautiful and there’s so much to see that my camera was working full time!
Last weekend our family took a drive out into the Peak District of Derbyshire. We visited Padley Gorge, a stunning location just outside Grindleford.
I’ve collected my favourite photos from the trip and assembled them here for you to enjoy. It’s a lovely place to take your kids (and the dog too) for bit of muddy fun!
The Thornton Abbey Gatehouse is situated in North Lincolnshire, not far from Cleethorpes. It’s a grand example of a monastic gatehouse and also the largest in England.
I’ve picked out the best photos from our visit to share with you. If you visit be assured there’ll be sheep, lots and lots of sheep.
Finding something to do every weekend can be a difficult task. An English Heritage Membership is a brilliant way to explore your local area and also learn about its history.
In South Yorkshire, where we live, there’s are all sorts of castles, monuments and historic sites to visit. The same is true for every location in the country too!
Nestled in a clearing down a cobbled road somewhere near Maltby village in South Yorkshire, are the remains of Roche Abbey. You’ll find the exposed foundations of the original site and also the towering Gothic transepts of the original Monastery.
I spent most of an afternoon there, right through to when the sun started setting. So I’ve gathered the best of the photos together for you to enjoy.
A couple of years ago I spent a fortnight in North Africa with my dad and brother. So I’ve put together this Tunisia photo blog to share some of the views.
There’s actually lots to see, from the barren but gorgeous Sahara Desert to some of the filming locations for Star Wars! I’ve selected the best photos from the trip and compiled them here for your pleasure.
Remember, you don’t need fancy equipment to take lovely photos. Because of the long trip across the Sahara all I took was my smartphone!
The beautiful village of Castleton sits in the Peak District of Derbyshire. The ruins of Peveril Castle are also located atop a hill overlooking the village. The imposing structure can be seen from almost anywhere below. Here’s a selection of photos from Castleton and Peveril Castle, because photography is awesome, enjoy.
Following on from my landscape focused blog during the week, for today I’m concentrating on Isle of Man Nature. We visited almost every corner of the Island during the trip, so I’ve got a bundle to share! From wallabies (yes – wallabies!) to stealth seals too, I hope you’ll enjoy them!
