I was lucky enough to be invited along to take some photos of a few bands playing live at Heaven & Hell Fest 2017 in Hull. I attended on the Monday evening and photographed Normaliser and Sertraline. Here’s a few shots from the night for your viewing pleasure!
With the school holidays looming once again, you might be looking for some days out with the kids. We visited The Royal Armouries in Leeds a few weekends ago and it was a brilliantly educational place. Perfect for a day out with the kids. They might even learn something along the way!
This will be the third set of Isle of Man photos I’ve put into a blog post. The island is beautiful and there’s so much to see that my camera was working full time!
Last weekend our family took a drive out into the Peak District of Derbyshire. We visited Padley Gorge, a stunning location just outside Grindleford.
I’ve collected my favourite photos from the trip and assembled them here for you to enjoy. It’s a lovely place to take your kids (and the dog too) for bit of muddy fun!
The Thornton Abbey Gatehouse is situated in North Lincolnshire, not far from Cleethorpes. It’s a grand example of a monastic gatehouse and also the largest in England.
I’ve picked out the best photos from our visit to share with you. If you visit be assured there’ll be sheep, lots and lots of sheep.
There’s no hobby I love more than photography. Marrying that with my enthusiasm for live rock and metal music is a passion of mine. So how do I go about my live music photography?
We’ll talk a little about equipment and cover how to get the best out of it. After reading this article and with a little practice, you’ll be getting great shots in no time.
Nestled in a clearing down a cobbled road somewhere near Maltby village in South Yorkshire, are the remains of Roche Abbey. You’ll find the exposed foundations of the original site and also the towering Gothic transepts of the original Monastery.
I spent most of an afternoon there, right through to when the sun started setting. So I’ve gathered the best of the photos together for you to enjoy.
Firstly, if you follow this blog you’ll be aware that I do a hell of a lot of Photography! This weekend I saw Normaliser, Petrichor and then Myth of a Life play at the Yorkshire Metal Meeting in Selby. The photography therefore, was a necessity. Here’s a selection of photos from the gig. You should certainly look them up on social media and give them some love.
A couple of years ago I spent a fortnight in North Africa with my dad and brother. So I’ve put together this Tunisia photo blog to share some of the views.
There’s actually lots to see, from the barren but gorgeous Sahara Desert to some of the filming locations for Star Wars! I’ve selected the best photos from the trip and compiled them here for your pleasure.
Remember, you don’t need fancy equipment to take lovely photos. Because of the long trip across the Sahara all I took was my smartphone!
